Linda S. Bradshaw

PEKIN ~ Linda Sue Bradshaw, 74, of Pekin, passed away at 6 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her home.

Born December 20, 1942 in Peoria to Albert C. and Ruth (Robison) Shafer, she married James Ray Bradshaw on July 21, 1971 in Peoria.  He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Albert “Pete” (Tammy Snyder) Bradshaw of South Pekin and Timothy “Tim” (Michelle) Bradshaw of Bolingbrook; two daughters, Heidi (Kevin) Honeck of Plymouth, Wisconsin and Lauren (Andy Cundall) Krile of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Ross Bradshaw, Alex Krile, and Tim Snyder, all of Pekin, Ryan (Komeeca) Snyder of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Olivia Honeck and Jacob Honeck, both of Plymouth, Wisconsin, and Jase Bradshaw and Cori Bradshaw, both of Bolingbrook; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ron Shafer of Washington state and Kevin Hippen of Mississippi; and one sister, Cheryl Hippen of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Edwin Hippen; one brother, Dean Beaman; and one sister, Karen Shaw.

She was a 1960 graduate of Richwoods High School in Peoria.

Linda and Jim owned and operated Bradshaw’s Pekin Framing from 1983 to 2013 and Furniture Medic from 1995 to 2005.

She had been a member and past president of the Pekin Emblem Club.  She also had held various state offices for the Emblem Club.

Linda enjoyed reading and traveling, anywhere with sand and salt water, but her greatest joy was being with her family and friends.

Her visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  There will be no services.  Cremation will be accorded and inurnment will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria at a later date.
