Thomas G. Brady

PEKIN ~ Thomas George Brady, 69, of Pekin, passed away at 10:31 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at UnityPoint Health – Pekin Emergency Room.

Born February 7, 1949 in New Orleans, Louisiana to George and Betty (Innskeep) Brady, he married Kim Connor on February 6, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Bryan (Amy) Brady of Canton and Britt (Gita) Brady of Eugene, Oregon; three step-sons, Jeremy (Lena) Otey of Janesville, Wisconsin, Nate (Christy) Otey of North Pekin and Dusten (Sarah) Otey of Redbud; one step-daughter, Brooke (Nicholas) Bloomer of Pekin; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandson and three brothers, Michael (Pam) Brady of Collinsville, Royce Brady of Banner and Blake (Marla) Brady of Fort Myers, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, E. Blake Camp.

Tom served in the United States Air Force.

He was a graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb, where he receive both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees.

Tom owned and operated Brady’s Lumber and Construction for 43 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria and Pekin Moose Family Center 916.

He loved his grandkids, spending time on the lake and took pride in caring for his yard.

A private graveside service will be held in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin, with military rites accorded by the United States Air Force and the Tazewell Military Rites Team.  The Rev. W. Lloyd Brock will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
