Larry Earhart

PEKIN ~ Larry G. Earhart, 70, of Pekin, passed away at 11:11 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his residence.
Born February 3, 1948 in Lincoln to Lloyd Franklin and Geneva M. (DeWitt) Earhart, he married Carol Dick on January 1, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Noele (Scott) Tatlock of Pekin; one son, Lance (Wendy) Earhart of Pekin; grandchildren, Drew Tatlock, Dylon Tatlock and Haley Heilman, all of Pekin; great-granddaughter, Ella Oakes of Washington; and one sister, Debra K. (Gary) Hoyle of Pekin.
Larry had proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and later in the United States Army Reserves.
He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears and the Alabama Roll Tide football team.  He loved watching old Western movies, especially ones starring John Wayne.  He also liked cooking.  More than anything, Larry cherished his family. 
His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at War Veteran's Cemetery in Pekin, where military rites will be provided by the United States Navy.  Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to the Pekin Boat Club to share in a time of food and fellowship.  Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team in c/o the funeral home.
