Twila A. Dentinger

MAPLETON ~ Twila Ann Dentinger, 89, of Mapleton, passed away and welcomed into the arms of Jesus at 1:18 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Pekin Manor.

She was born June 1, 1930 in Canton to Raymond M. and Fern O. (Pilcher) Rock, Sr.  She married Albert B. Kircher and they had three children together, Sherry (Robert) Grove of Olympia, Washington, Mark A. Kircher and Rayann (Randy) Hardin of Mapleton.  She later married Louis Dentinger having one son, Jeffrey J. Dentinger of Arcadia, Florida.  Ann also leaves behind six grandchildren, Kile (Olivia) Hardin of Mapleton, Doug (Christy) Hardin of Woodstock, Kristy (Steve) Cox of Hebron, Kentucky, Krista (Jeff) Ehlers of Bothell, Washington, Brenna Grove of Tumwater, Washington and Casey (Nicole) Grove of Olympia, Washington; ten great-grandchildren and three sisters, Carol Hadsall of Sequim, Washington, Connie (Tom) Doubet of Eureka and Elaine Ginther of Florence, Alabama.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Mark A. Kircher; a great-grandson, Seth A. Hardin and her brother, Raymond M. Rock, Jr.

Ann last worked as an inventory control clerk at Caterpillar, Inc. in Morton, retiring in 1985.  She enjoyed nature, gardening and excelled in her hobbies of sewing, quilting, knitting and loom weaving.  She has created and gifted many beautiful items that will be dearly treasured.

No services or visitation are planned. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Church, 2354 Hollands Grove Road, Washington, Illinois 61571 or to the A.R.K. Animal Shelter, 477 State Route 26, Lacon, Illinois  61540.
